Wyoming health officials identify tenth human case of West Nile
virus in a woman from Crook County; Animal testing to be suspended
for season after October 29
CHEYENNE -- Wyoming Department of Health officials
said today that an additional case of West Nile virus in humans
has been identified in an adult female from Crook County. This case
brings the state total this year to ten, said state epidemiologist,

Wyoming health officials identify eighth and ninth human cases of
West Nile virus in adults from Laramie and Johnson Counties
CHEYENNE -- Wyoming Department of Health officials
said today that two more case of West Nile virus in humans have
been identified in adult males from Laramie and Johnson Counties.
These cases bring the state total this year to nine, said State

human cases of West Nile virus in a Converse County child
CHEYENNE -- Wyoming Department of Health officials
said today that one more case of West Nile virus in humans has been
identified in a male child with encephalitis fromConverse County.
This case brings the state total this season to seven, said State
Health Officer, Dr. Brent Sherard.

Campbell County man first state resident this year identified with
West Nile virus infection; Case comes three weeks earlier than last
year; Wyoming third state in 2004 to identify a human case
CHEYENNE -- An adult male is the first Wyoming resident - and only
the third person in the nation - identified with West Nile virus
this spring. The discovery was made three weeks earlier than 2003
when the first case was uncovered on June 20, said Wyoming Department
of Health spokesman, Ross Doman. The Campbell County man developed
West Nile fever and is currently recovering. {more}
